One generation after the other, the Seguso family keeps alive the art of making glass; an art performed
in extreme conditions, the contrary of the decadent elegance you admire in a glass object.
Fire, sweat, maximum concentration, both physical and mental, and the same approach for the last ten centuries,
make for unique masterpieces.
Gianni Seguso, glass master and owner of his own glass factory, remembers when he began to work closely with his
father; "I was so lucky to have such a teacher. He was able to make everything. He became a Master when he was
only 16. He could make every kind of object, sculptures based on sketches of very famous artists, but above all
incredibly beautiful chandeliers".
These few sentences represent the philosophy of Gianni Seguso, who, following the example of his father,
decided to invest in young people, teaching and forming the Masters that today work in his own factory.
Masters who work in absolute expressive freedom, but always to an extremely high quality, the compulsory "signature"
of Gianni Seguso.
The production range is vast, but among the classic creations, venetian chandelier,
Murano chandelier, we must name the prestigious and extremely
intricate "Ca' Rezzonico" chandeliers, while also at the same time remember that there is always the upmost attention paid to new ideas and lines.
In this way the antique tradition, represented by the skilful movements inherited from the old Masters, joins
the desire for creativity and the continuous search for a modern look. The only way to give new energy to the antique
art of Murano glass.
